I don’t know about you but my kid loves bubbles. Like, LOVES.

It stemmed from our stint at The Little Gym (which I have been wanting to write about but never got down to!), when each session would end off with a few minutes of bubbles blowing. The kids would go wild every time the teacher whipped out the little bottle of bubble solution, and my little man would be enthusiastically chasing after her.

Too cute!

I was pretty chuffed when I found out that Bubble Magic – Pep Bou’s Wonderful World of Bubbles would be running in Singapore. Fresh from a Europe-wide tour, the show brings together bubbles, clowning, ingenious lighting, colourful music and crazy costumes. The two-man show turns everyday elements into a magical, wonder-filled world. They compete, collaborate and surprise us, with fishbowl bubbles, animal bubbles, bubbles on a highwire, sliding bubbles, puppet bubbles and even a train inside a bubble tunnel.

Creator Pep Bou has been playing with bubbles for more than three decades, an adventure that has taken him onto the stages of theatres and festivals around the world. Bubble Magic promises to be a 65-minute visual and comic feast that will delight children and adults alike.

Bubble Magic – Pep Bou’s Wonderful World of Bubbles will be running from 10 (Wed) to 14 September (Sun) at Jubilee Hall, Raffles Hotel. Tickets – priced at $70 and $85 – are available from Sistic.

I highly suspect that Aidan will be mesmerised by the bubble spectacle on stage!
